Based in the Maintenance Control Centre, this round-the-clock position plays a vital part in monitoring aircraft health, managing unplanned maintenance, and supporting real-time engineering decisions.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

✔️ Follow the assigned shift schedule and duty pattern as communicated by the MCC leadership team.

✔️ Collaborate with Operations Control Centre (OCC) and other engineering departments to optimize aircraft routing and reduce network delays, contributing to On-Time Performance (OTP).

✔️ Monitor and report the status of AUTOLAND and EDTO capabilities across the IndiGo fleet. Prepare status reports for internal stakeholders.

✔️ Maintain Daily Activity Logs by accurately recording events and technical issues reported by flight crew and engineering teams from all stations.

✔️ Stay informed of both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft movements. Promptly communicate any diversions, delays, or technical inspections to all concerned departments.

✔️ Generate and circulate MEL (Minimum Equipment List) reports to ensure everyone has access to up-to-date operational limitations.

✔️ Support re-routing of aircraft and rescheduling of maintenance work packages during operational disruptions or technical contingencies.

✔️ Gather details on incidents, diversions, or delays from stations and prepare official reports for documentation and further analysis.

✔️ Provide end-to-end support during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations—coordinate logistics such as cab bookings, ticketing, and staff movement to outstations when urgent assistance is required.

✔️ Liaise with the Planning department for the dispatch and tracking of critical spare parts and equipment needed to resolve MCC-raised work orders at remote bases.

✔️ Ensure quick and effective dissemination of technical updates or safety directives to relevant departments, and follow up to confirm action has been taken.

✔️ Maintain the Technical Manuals and engineering records required for MCC operations, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.

✔️ Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director MCC or Associate Director MCC.

🛡️ Safety Responsibilities

As part of your role, you are expected to understand and fulfill your obligations under IndiGo's Safety Management System (SMS). This includes full compliance with the Safety Policy and Objectives laid out in the SMS Manual.
