✈ Aircraft Maintenance Technician – IndiGo Engineering Team

Are you passionate about aviation mechanics and ready to contribute to one of India’s largest airline engineering teams? IndiGo is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to support ground operations and ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.

This role is ideal for certified professionals who want hands-on exposure to aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and servicing, while also assisting Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) on the ground.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

✔️ Use your RTR (Radio Telephony Restricted) License to assist in taxiing and towing operations, while maintaining communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC).
✔️ Provide support during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks in collaboration with Licensed AMEs.
✔️ Assist in troubleshooting, inspections, and servicing tasks by following standard aircraft maintenance procedures and manuals.
✔️ Maintain up-to-date technical logs and documentation as per company and DGCA guidelines.
✔️ Support ground handling activities including aircraft marshalling, towing, and positioning.
✔️ Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, used safely, and kept calibrated at all times.
✔️ Strictly adhere to safety protocols, company SOPs, and DGCA regulations during all tasks.
✔️ Actively participate in training programs and technical upskilling initiatives offered by the airline.

📚 Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) from a DGCA-approved institute or CAR-147 Basic Maintenance Training Organization.
  • RTR License (Radio Telephony Restricted) is mandatory for this role.
  • Preference given to candidates with DGCA Paper 1 & 2 cleared, or those holding all required modules—especially for B2 cadre.
  • Solid understanding of aircraft systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and team collaboration skills.
  • Basic computer literacy; experience with AMOS or similar aviation software is a plus.
