About the Role
The Technical Purchaser ensures smooth supply chain operations within the Technical Division.
The role focuses on acquiring critical aircraft materials and components to support maintenance teams.
A major objective is to prevent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations by avoiding shortages.
The position requires proactive planning, accuracy, and strong vendor relationship management.
Purchases include Aircraft Components, Power-Plant Parts, Landing Gear Spares, Tools, Kits, and Instruments.
All materials must come from approved vendors to ensure safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Urgent Supply Support: Act as the main contact for immediate maintenance requirements.
Order Tracking: Monitor purchase orders and expedite shipments when necessary.
Loan & Exchange Monitoring: Oversee pending agreements to ensure timely completion.
Reporting: Submit detailed updates on routable, repairable, and tool orders.
Vendor Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, management, and internal teams to resolve delays.
Compliance & Cost Control: Secure the best prices without compromising on aviation safety standards.
Eligibility Criteria & Skills
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School qualification.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in material sales or purchase, preferably at a vendor or MRO.
Prioritization Skills: Ability to manage multiple urgent tasks simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication across vendors and teams.
Pressure Handling: Work effectively under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
Problem Solving: Quick decision-making to resolve procurement challenges.
